ABS-CBN’s hit action series “La Luna Sangre” kept its stronghold of its primetime slot as it prevailed over its new rival last Monday (Nov 27).
Based on data from Kantar Media, more viewers tuned in to the start of the show’s “Power Unlock” week and scored a national TV rating of 31.4% from combined urban and rural homes compared to the pilot episode of its rival program with only 15.6%.
Kantar Media uses a nationwide panel size of 2,610 urban and rural homes that represent 100% of the total Philippine TV viewing population.
In Monday’s episode, viewers witnessed how Malia helplessly pleaded to the moon and wished for her to gain power enough to beat Sandrino (Richard Gutierrez) and save Tristan (Daniel Padilla). Her hands suddenly glowed to red— a sign that a new power in her has awaken.
Netizens were quick to post positive feedback about Malia’s emotional monologue on social media and commended Kathryn’s acting.
“It’s always impressive when an actor or actress delivers a flawless monologue, but @bernardokath went above and beyond in that scene. Not only did Kath pull off that monologue, but she did it in the rain. Wow, that was a hard act to pull off,” @julianmauricio expressed.
For Twitter user, @iamKATHriiin, she said, “Best way to start the #PowerUnlockWeek #LLSPowerUp WOOT WOOT! Amazing!”
“Can we acknowledge @bernardokath in that sequence? She is indeed a legend! Her eyes speaks all the emotions needed in a scene!,” @iamtherealjenn shared.
Now that Malia’s powers are unfolding, how will she use it against Sandrino? Will she be able to save Tristan before he dies in his coffin?
